3 Degrees of Glory's Breakfast

So we studied the Plan of Salvation this week for Family Home Evening with the boys and we studied the 3 degrees of glory and were trying to explain to the boys how you live here on earth is what decides where you'll be after this life! Well they looked a little glazed over and it wasn't really sinking in, they got heaven and hell concept, but it was a lil new? Soooo the next morning Dewayne and I decided to apply the choices with breakfast....so the first choice depicted shown above at the stool in front with dry toast and a cup of water for the telestrial glory (or 'hell' knowing what you could've had 'heaven' had you only been better) ....

then second choice was the lucky charms with milk in their favorite wally ware on their favorite lil tykes table for the terrestrial kingdom (symbolizing a worldly fun choice but still not the best of all three kindoms of afterlife)...

Finally there was a full spread of pancakes with their initials drawn in strawberry syrup, cheese scrambled eggs, with sugar sprinkled strawberries, and strawberry milk on a beautiful table; with flowers, and silverware and place settings. Symbolizing the Celestrial Kingdom "Heaven" the glory to live with God the father and his son Jesus Christ. Parker was at first as you can see from the previous pic was debating and really tempted by the cereal and fun setup of the lesser glory until he saw all that was at this option and his Daddy informed him and with this choice you can have all the other choices and the best of everything and quickly placed the cereal and toast options together on the table. We saw the light bulb switch on all at once he got it... Wow so I can have it all here, Daddy? Yep Parker exactly!
(He later reluctantly sat at the cereal b'fast and chowed down on his favorite b'fast Oh well can't say we didn't try my lil monster! LOL)

Dylan however really loved the whole experience and was great and practically glanced over the choices and ran to the table to sit down. He is such a special spirit and seems to really get it! We really had a good time and definitely enjoyed some celestrial breakfast! I am so thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives, especially to be able to teach my kids how important this life is and how every choice you make here on earth makes an eternal decision... What table do you want to dine at???

Field Mouse relocation project

Soooo...me and the boys were takin out the trash the other day and we found this lil guy chillin out in the trash can (he freaked me out, but not the boys! they wanted to KEEP HIM uugh!!) so we had to "save him" and relocate him to a "new home"....

so we drove and drove to find the perfect place for this lil guy we found a old silo and barn beside a huge field of a farm so the boys picked it out

and just as we were placing him in out into his new abode a HUGE rabbit jumped right out in front of us it scared us to death but was so cool he really wasn't all that skiddish, it was like he was trying to figure us out and why we were there

Here is ole Mr cottontail hoppin off into his very own field of green pastures along with his new lil mouse friend!! The boys were so cute being so excited about relocating him they thought he was so cute like the mice off of Cinderella! thanks Disney LOL!!

Fathers Day weekend

well the boys went to Alabama for a few weeks to spend sometime with family and it was the LONGEST few weeks of my life!!!! They came home just in time for Father's day weekend and couldn't wait to celebrate the best Daddy in the world!!! They were so excited to be back home... I think they actually missed us!!! YAY!

So we spent the day and drove over to Enos state park and to Mt Occoneechee which we found only a few miles from the house!!

Later on the boys snuck out with Daddy while Sissy and I took an afternoon nap and picked some wild rasberries...YUMMO!

They were so excited to suprise us with yummie warm cobbler with vanilla ice cream!!! What a great fathers day!!!
Dewayne~Thank you for being the most awesome Daddy in the world. I can only hope and pray that the boys can grow up to be as great of a man as you are!! You are truly a blessing in our life. WE LOVE and APPRECIATE YOU!!!
